After leaving school at the ages of 15 and finding a full time job as a telecommunications technician Apprentice I moved through the telecommunications industry working through the requirements to become a fully trained telecommunications technician. After 2 Years in my Apprentice role I decided it was time for a change, I handed in my letter of resignation and set off into the government side of the telecommunications industry for SNUP MOE and hospital projects I spent 5 Years running network cable, switch install and installing WIFI for MOE in schools in the Auckland region. Due to the company closing down and moving outside of Auckland alarm bells were ringing, I found myself playing around with CCTV and security alarm panels this was a huge change but I was enjoying the work, I completed all training and found myself being called a security technician I applied for my COA security licence and got the green light so was in the green to install and maintain security systems. After working in the security industry for 2 years I decided it was time to step out and create my own business and here we are today at Secure U Ltd.
